Pursuant to the Licensing Act 2003 it is an offence for any person under the age of 18 to buy, or attempt to buy, intoxicating liquor, or for any person over the age of 18 to buy intoxicating liquor on behalf of any person under the age of 18, subject to a maximum fine on conviction of £1,000.

If no specified area is noted in checkout our couriers will only leave a parcel at a suitable location where a signature has been obtained and a card will be left detailing this. General payment provisions – any of the following cards may be used to pay for your shopping: Visa Debit (Delta), Maestro UK, MasterCard, Visa Credit, Solo, American Express.
All customers collecting shopping, whether the registered customer or a third party, will be asked to provide a form of identification for the person who is paying for the shopping. The identification must match the cardholder name shown in the payment details on the checkout page. The card itself will not be required.
You are entitled to cancel a payment, or have such sums re-credited to your payment card where fraudulent use of your payment card has been made by another person not acting on your behalf.
Payment Security Policy The Weetons (Retail) Limited is a valued, trusted, premium food retailer on the high street and online. We understand your concerns with security and your peace of mind and safety are of the utmost importance to us.
Weetons (Retail) Limited has secure online ordering facility designed to give you confidence when you use your credit or debit card to shop with us and when you tell us your personal details like your address or phone number.
Credit Card Safety – The Weetons (Retail) Limited online food shopping service uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt your details as they are being transmitted to us. This prevents anyone from eavesdropping on your shopping session and keeps your card and personal details private.
You may store your card details with us, so that you can order from us again without needing to type your details in. We only ever show you the last four digits of your card number on our public internet site and of course, this information is ‘for your eyes only’.
If you do not wish to store your card details with us, you can enter these each time you place an order with the Weetons (Retail) Limited online food shopping service.
Your payment details are held in a secure encrypted server which is not accessible from the Internet. Access to this data is also secured internally within Weetons (Retail) Limited and all card numbers are encrypted using a highly secure system that financial and banking institutions rely on, called Triple DES (Data Encryption Standard). This is widely acknowledged as being a very secure way to hide these details from prying eyes.
Once your order is processed, the payment details associated with your order are removed from our files.
Verified by Visa and MasterCard® SecureCode™ To give you even more confidence in shopping online with weetons.com, we have introduced Verified by Visa and Mastercard® SecureCode™. These services enhance your existing card account security against unauthorised use when you shop with us.
To use this service, you must first register with the bank or other organisation that issued your card. To find out more about these services:
Visit the Verified by Visa website (Link opens in a new window)
Visit the MasterCard® SecureCode™ website (Link opens in a new window)
Once you’ve registered and created your own private password with your bank, you will be automatically prompted at checkout to provide this password each time you make a purchase online.
If you are paying for an order with gift vouchers and / or an incentive code and the total of these exceed the estimated cost of your order then Verified by Visa or Mastercard® SecureCode™ authentication may take place for a £1 transaction amount. You will not be charged £1. This happens so that a refund can be made to your card if your actual order cost is less than the gift voucher(s) or your card can be charged if the actual amount of your order exceeds the gift voucher(s) and/or incentive code amount.
Errors/Shortages – Weetons (Retail) Limited may decline to fulfil any order, including bulk purchase of items on promotion, or included in a special offer.
In the event of there being errors or shortages, these should be brought to the attention of Weetons (Retail) Limited (using the contact details above) no later than seven days after the delivery, or collection.
General Pricing Policy – Prices quoted are always estimated for a variety of reasons listed below, but you will always be charged the in-store price on the day of delivery or collection. You have the right to return any product with the driver or directly to the branch if you have any issues with price(s) charged and we will refund the amount that you have been charged for that product.
Prices and the availability of special offers may vary for future dated deliveries and collections.
All special offer discounts will be deducted in-store.
The unit price for products that are weighed and displayed on the site are calculated on drained weight where applicable.
Weighed items such as fruit may vary in weight from that ordered.
Where an item is unavailable and you have indicated that you will accept substitutions, an alternative will be supplied that may affect the price that you pay. If we substitute an item with a more expensive one, you’ll only pay the lower of the two prices (if the item we are substituting was of a fixed weight and therefore has a known price). Upon delivery or collection you will be made aware of unavailable items and their substitutes. You have the right to reject any substitutes offered and we will refund the amount that you have been charged for that product.
Where the only stock available of a product line is reduced in price in branch, the product will be supplied but at zero price.
The prices stated on the site are inclusive of any VAT payable.
Cancellation rights – Please note that you are entitled to cancel this contract if you so wish, provided that you exercise your right no longer than eight working days after the day on which you receive the goods or services.
Please note that your right to return products does not apply to goods made to your specification, that have been clearly personalised or which by reason of their nature cannot be returned or are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.
If you wish to exercise your right of cancellation, you are obliged to retain possession of the goods and take reasonable care of them.
Notice of such cancellation must be given in writing to Weetons (Retail) Limited, details as provided above.
